Day 50

Glass design

Day 49

These interesting shadow patterns from a big fern fall across a camelia truck during the day and vary depending where the sun is.  This one is mid afternoon.

Day 44

Thinking of using a collection of these for table decorations at the Official Dinner.  Finally found a reasonably priced collection.  Come out of your Shell at Port Macquarie.

Denise, the bud wraps around this knobbly stamen which causes the bumps on the outside.  The bud was open early this morning so I took a backlit shot using the early morning sun.

Day 41

Okay Denise I missed Tuesday and also Thursday.  Thanks for keeping me in line.  This Madona lilly is very old and I think must be rootbound in the pot but it is producing the most beautiful little flowers at present.  It rained early yesterday morning and I caught the drops running down the sides of the flower.

Day 36

There's nothing particularly clever about today's image however I just wanted to share a story with you.  Yesterday this little fellow's favourite gum tree had to be cut down in the garden next door to us because of termites. It was becoming dangerous to our house and the one next door.  This afternoon I looked through the bathroom window and there he was clinging to another native close by.  There are other gum trees close by and he will soon find a new day time haunt but he does look very sad this afternoon.  We curse these creatures when they make such a noise at night but love them just the same.

Day 34

I have spent too many hours preparing this for the TBB folio I belong to in APS.  The subject this month was White on White.  I photographed a feather boa on a white table cloth, converted it to B&W.  I felt the image had to be textures and shadows.  This is the result and my image for yesterday and today.
